Alba Reguant Closa

Alba Reguant Closa is a Post-Doctorate researcher at the Life Cycle Assessment group at Agroscope (Zurich) under Dr. Thomas Nemecek. She is a Registered Dietitian and IOC Diploma in Sports Nutrition graduate, highly interested in sports nutrition and performance but also on the environmental impact of diets. As a recipient of a Fulbright scholarship, Alba graduated from a Master’s degree in sports nutrition at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) and developed her final master’s project in collaboration of the United States Olympic Center. With her rising interest in sustainability, her PhD under Dr. Nanna Meyer was focused on the integration of sustainability in sports nutrition with a focus on the environmental impacts of diets from athletes. Born in Andorra, at the heart of the mountains of the Pyrenees and passionate about nature, she is now focusing her efforts on raising awareness relative to the links between health-nutrition and environmental impacts of food production and consumption.
